The Hometown Le Mars Heritage Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit that is committed to showing the history and charm of Le Mars. The foundation supports tourism efforts year-round through partnerships, community marketing, and its two signature events (Ice Cream Days and Christmas in Hometown Le Mars), helping connect visitors with what makes Le Mars unique.
The Hometown Le Mars Heritage Foundation organizes two signature events each year: Ice Cream Days, a four-day celebration held over Father’s Day weekend, and Christmas in Hometown Le Mars, which takes place the Saturday following Thanksgiving. These events attract visitors to Le Mars while showcasing local businesses, traditions, and community spirit.
There are many ways to support the Hometown Le Mars Heritage Foundation. We offer numerous volunteer opportunities throughout the year, especially during our signature events, Ice Cream Days and Christmas in Hometown Le Mars.
